The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Anna Mae Fisher (nee Blakeslee), 91, of Norwalk, died Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, following a short illness. She was born August 22, 1916 in Eaton Township and was a resident of Elyria Township for most of her life. She was a 1934 graduate of Elyria High School.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elyria. She enjoyed gardening, baking, yard work, and loved her dogs.
Survivors include her son, David (wife Philomena) Fisher of Norwalk; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Fisher Sr.; sons, Jack E. Fisher Jr., and Robert F. Fisher; grandchildren; Jeffrey Fisher and Holly Fisher; and great-grandson, Shawn Eagle; sisters, Harriet Shoulter and Ruth Kay; and brothers, Howard, Frank, Harold and Russell.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 11 A.M. until the time of Services at 1 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at State Route 57, Elyria.
The Rev. Roger Talbott, Pastor of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
