The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Dorothy Schieve-Hahn, 79, of Birmingham, died Thursday evening, October 4, 2007, at Specialty Hospital in Lorain. She was born on June 13, 1928, in Birmingham, and had lived there her whole life. She was a graduate of Birmingham High School.
She had worked at the White Diner, Opperman Cider Mill, Schoepfle’s Gardens, and the Griffin Box Factory.
She was a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church. She enjoyed making cakes, candy, and gambling.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Raymond E. Hahn; sons, Guy (Debby) Schieve of Birmingham, Jason Schieve of Birmingham; step-children, Gerri (Raymond) Hardwick of Henrietta, Tammy (Tom) Everett of Birmingham, David Hahn of Birmingham, Denise Meek of Birmingham; sisters, Kathleen (Robert "Slick") Davidson of Birmingham, Erma Camp of Amherst; brothers, Edward (Virginia) Logan of IL, William (Joan) Logan of Sandusky, Richard (Pat) Logan of Wakeman; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Schieve; parents, Jerome Logan and Marien Mae (Bates) Gaag-Logan; and brother, Theodore Logan.
Friends may call on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, where Services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Birmingham Cemetery.
