Mary Evelyn Roberts, 74, of Brighton, died Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, after a short illness. Mrs. Roberts was born December 2, 1932 in Louisville, KY, daughter of the late Phillip and Margaret (Grimm) Hunt.
She was a 1951 graduate of Brighton High School.
She joined the U.S. Army W.A.C. during the Korean War and had lived in many locations, but most of her life was spent in the Brighton and Wellington areas.
Mary is survived by four daughters, Anne (Gary) Hoppers of Joliet, IL, Doris (Paul) Leadingham of Princeton, IL, Jennifer Howell of FL, and Rebecca Roberts of Lorain; sons, Edward (Brenda) Hartwig of Mandan, ND, Carl (Cynthia) Hartwig of Wellington, and Ernest (Suzanne) Hartwig of Knox, PA; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Emily (Richard) Conklin of Brighton; and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Hartwig; second husband, Edwin Roberts; and infant daughter, Eva Marie Hartwig.
Friends may call Monday, October 8, 2007 from 10 A.M. until the time of Memorial Service at 11 A.M. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington.
