The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Juanita Castro, 56, of Lorain died Friday, October 5, 2007 in her home following an lengthy illness. Friends may call Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Further arrangements will be announced by the funeral home.
