Ex allegedly attacks woman’s new beau
LORAIN — A 24-year-old man was nearly run over by his girlfriend’s knife-wielding ex-boyfriend Friday morning along East 28th Street, police said.

David Toro, 24, of Lorain, told police he was with his girlfriend when her ex-boyfriend, Jason S. Galvin, 24, of Lorain, approached his vehicle and slashed one of the tires, according to a police report.

A fight ensued and Galvin tried to run Toro over with another vehicle until Toro spotted police, the report said.

Galvin fled and hadn’t been located as of Friday, police said.

Uncle says nephew took shots at him

LORAIN — A 31-year-old man told police his 27-year-old nephew fired several shots at him following an argument.

William Sanchez Jr., said he had confronted his nephew, Obed Sanchez, about using his name when he was arrested, according to the police report.

Obed Sanchez retrieved a gun and fired several shots, one of which struck the rear tire of the vehicle William Sanchez was driving, the report said.

Police arrived at the 2600 block of Caroline Avenue and found four 9 mm bullet casings.
Obed Sanchez had not been found as of Friday, police said.
