Rosa Belle (nee Whaley) Farrow, 96, departed this life to be present with the Lord on October 17, 2007.
Mother Rosa Belle Farrow received the baptism in Jesus name and the Holy Ghost on January 8, 1931 at the Original Glorious Church Of God In Christ in Huntington, WV, where she served faithfully until she relocated to Oberlin, Ohio in 1952.
She met and married Brother Donaldson Farrow on November 15, 1934. Mother Farrow continued to untiringly serve the Lord and the church in numerous capacities at the Glorious Faith Tabernacle in Oberlin. In 1998 Rosa Belle Farrow moved from Oberlin to Charleston, WV, to live with her daughter Beverly. While in Charleston, she was a member of Power House Of Deliverance Church, where the Bishop Melvin L. Mosley is Pastor.
Mother Farrow leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Dr. Beverly A. Farrow (White) and son-in-law, Charles A. White; nieces, Carrie Morrow of Dayton and Fairy Coleman of Niles. As the matriarch of the Whaley-Thomas family, Rosa leaves many nieces and nephews who will miss “Aunt Rose” and the love and support that she displayed to the family through the years.
Mother Farrow was preceded in death by her husband, Donaldson Farrow; sisters, Mary Sims and Evelyn Biggins.
Friends may call Sunday, October 21st , 2007 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Monday from 11 A.M. until time of service at Noon in Glorious Faith Tabernacle, 45637 Hamilton Street, Oberlin, where Elder Steve Robinson, Pastor of Glorious Faith Tabernacle will officiate services.
