Dallas Roy Hale

Dallas Roy "Bud" Hale, 72, of Elyria, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at his home, after a long illness.

He was born July 27, 1935 in Crossville, Tennessee and has been a resident of Elyria since 1958.

He was employed at Ford Motor Company in Lorain as a truck driver and also worked in general stores from 1958 until retiring in 1985.

His interests included fishing and hunting and he was a member of the NRA and a former member of Sportsman Gun and Reel Club.

Bud is survived by his wife of 44 years, Julie J. (nee Beaty); children, Robert and Brenda Hale of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Mike (Patti) Hale of Wakeman; stepchildren, Willard Wells of Lebanon, and Judy Flowers and Brenda (David) Childers of Elyria; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Baxter and Lula Mae Hale; and sisters, Alice Joy and Betty Stovall.

Visitation will be Monday, October 29, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 30, 2007, 11 A.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Collings officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
