Rosemary T. Bittner

Rosemary T. Bittner (nee DeFlorville), 89, of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Monday, October 29, 2007, at the Lutheran Home, Westlake, following a long illness.

Mrs. Bittner was born October 3, 1918, in Cleveland and had lived in Sheffield Lake the past 52 years.

Mrs. Bittner was a homemaker, a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sheffield Lake, and a member of the church’s Ladies’ Guild. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, but mostly spending time with her family.

Mrs. Bittner is survived by three daughters, Rose Santoro (Charlie) of Elyria, Mary Jo Bittner of Lorain and Lori Born (John) of Lorain; and son, Edward J. Bittner (Barbara) of Parma. Other survivors include eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H.; parents, William and Viola (nee Hoover) DeFlorville; and brothers, William, Eugene and Edward.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007, at Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake.

A prayer service will be at the funeral home, 9:15 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2007, at followed by 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 715 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
