High speed chase leads to 10 years in prison

Justin T. McFadden, 20, of Vermilion was sentenced to a decade of incarceration Monday for breaking into a Carlisle Township home in April, stealing a car and leading police on a high-speed chase through three cities.

Lorain County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark A. Betleski delivered the 10-year sentence in exchange for McFadden pleading guilty to 19 felonies. Three charges related to the felonious assault of a police officer were dismissed as apart of the deal.

McFadden will be eligible to apply for judicial release after serving five years in prison, defense attorney David Nehr said.
