The cat, who was stuck in a tree in Eaton Township for 12 days, was in bad shape when his owner Dave Limon took him to Northview Animal Hospital on Tuesday morning.
“He was comatose when I brought him in,” Limon said.
The cat was put on intravenous fluids and placed in an incubator. He began responding to treatment on Wednesday, according to Limon. He said he and his wife, Doris, can see Bear today and possibly take him home.
The Erie Shores Human Society is covering the costs of hospitalizing the cat, which ran up a tall tree after apparently being spooked on Halloween, according to Eleanor Mittler, president of the Humane Society.
