Princess Ann Gordon, 41, of Deltona, Florida and formerly of Elyria, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007 in her home following a long illness. She was born in Columbus, coming to Elyria many years ago. She was a graduate of Elyria High School in the class of 1985.
Mrs. Gordon was a home maker, but she also worked for Kenosha Visiting Nurses Association as a lead direct care manager for special MRDD individuals in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was also a STNA at Harborside Health Care and manager of Amazing Pictures and she worked as a security guard for Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
She attended Woodford Avenue Church Of God In Christ in Elyria. She enjoyed crafts,and drawings.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Jarvis Gordon; son, Princeton Lea Gordon; mother, Jean Ann Lawson (nee Jones) and Mittie Lee Jones of Elyria; brothers, Rodney Norman Jones, Sherman Derrick Jones, Darrell Bernard Jones, Richard Louis Jones, and Fabium Cleveland II, all of Elyria; sisters, Amanda Jones of Elyria and Sonia Williams of Lorain; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fabium Cleveland, Sr.; adopted parents, Norman and Hattie Mary Jones, Norman Jones, Jr., Norma Jean Jones; great-grandparents, Major and Jenny Jones.
Friends may call Sunday, November 18, 2007 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Carter Funeral Homes Chapel, 127 W. Bridge Street, Elyria. Services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 326 Fuller Road, Elyria, where the Rev. Willie Gardener, Pastor, will officiate, and Elder C.C.
