Hazel Louise Walker

Hazel Louise Walker, 87, of Oberlin, died Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Allen Medical Center, after a short illness.

She was born November 14, 1920, and lived in the Oberlin area since 1946. She co-owned Walker Mower Sales & Service with her husband, Fred, for 45 years until its closing in 2004.

Hazel was a member of East Oberlin Community Church, and Farmers Grange. She enjoyed delivering for Meals on Wheels and working on crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Thomas M. Walker of N. Canton; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Walker; her father, George Martin; and her mother, Minnie Brightbill Martin.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Cowling Funeral Home, Oberlin, where funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Pastor Pete Figueora of East Oberlin Community Church will officiate.

Interment will be Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Brookdale Cemetery.
