The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Lucy Bo Williams Rasmussen (nee Hale), 74, of Elyria, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Center. She was born August 24, 1933 in McAndrews, Kentucky, and had been an Elyria area resident since 1959.
Lucy was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing and Williamson High School in West Virginia. A Registered Nurse and Certified School Nurse, Lucy retired from Lorain County Joint Vocational School in 1999, after serving as school nurse for nearly 20 years. She remained active in the Advisory Council for the Health Occupations at the Joint Vocational School until her death.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Lucy’s recent years were spent treasuring her family and friends.
She was a member of the Lorain County School Nurses Association, the Lorain County JVS Teachers Association, and the American Nurses Association.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ronald L. Rasmussen of Elyria; children, Tina Williams Tallman (Thomas) of Shaker Heights, Jennifer Williams Noxsel (Douglas) of Fairfield, Liese Williams Davis (Jim) of Anderson, Indiana, Christian Williams of Jersey City, New Jersey, Ronald Rasmussen Jr. of Brewster, Massachusetts, Eric Rasmussen of Cataumet, Massachusetts, Alan Rasmussen (Debra) of Westfield, New Jersey, Laura Rasmussen of Harwich, Massachusetts; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Sibyl Hale Piediscalzi (Nicholas) of Santa Barbara, California.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at LaPorte United Methodist Church, 2071 Grafton Rd., Elyria. A Memorial Service celebrating Lucy’s life will immediately follow visitation, at 2 P.M. at the LaPorte United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 749, Versailles, KY 40383. Phone (859) 873-4481, www.kyumh.org. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Elyria.
