The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Thomas D. Craig, 54, of Elyria, died suddenly at home on Friday, December 7, 2007. Mr. Craig was born on October 27, 1953 in Elyria and he lived here all of his life. He was self employed as a painter. He was a graduate of Elyria High School with the class of 1971. He served with the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 12. He played baseball for Elyria High School and for the American Legion. He was a hunter, fisherman, and a golfer and loved all sports. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold Em. He loved his dog, DeeOhGee.
He is survived by his wife, Linda K. (nee Rowan); two sons, Terrance of Elyria, and Tim with the US Air Force in Mississippi; two daughters, Tara and Trina Craig, both of Maryland; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Lois Craig of Elyria; one brother Dan Fairbanks; and two sisters, Sherry Gibbs and Donna Dixon, all from Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Craig in 2005.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 1 P.M. in the funeral home with the Reverend Don Lare, Pastor of Community United Methodist Church, officiating.
