House is shot up; puppy is hurt

LORAIN — A gunshot Sunday morning narrowly missed a woman in bed and injured a pit bull puppy lying beside her, according to a Lorain police report.

Officers found 15 shell casings and numerous holes in a residence in the 1100 block of West 14th Street following the shooting at about 4 a.m. according to the report.

The report stated that police were dispatched to West 12th Street and Oberlin Avenue for gunshots, and then got another call of shots in the area of West 19th Street and Oberlin Avenue.

While checking those reports, officers responded to the home on West 14th Street.

The injured dog was taken to an emergency animal clinic.
