Hubert (Herb) Daugherty, 74, of Lodi, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Medina General Hospital.
He was born September 11, 1933 in Devonia, Tennessee to Elish and Elizabeth West Daugherty. He worked for 28 years as a plant foreman for the R.H. Eggers Co. in Cleveland and later retired from the Brunswick School System. He was a member of the Medina Eagles Lodge and enjoyed garage sales, flea marketing and bluegrass music. A special note to all of Herb’s flea marketing friends. Herb wanted to thank all of you for all the good times he shared with you.
Surviving are his companion, Shirley Parks; daughters, Brenda (Frank) Lee of Elyria, Vicki (Ray) Cepik of Lodi, Cheryl Graham of Lodi, Tina (Travis) Tucker of Dresden; sons, Ronald (Becky) of Apple Creek, Randy of West Salem, Jeff and (Donna) of Texas, Mike of Polk; 28 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Stella Bunch and Margie West; brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, Delbert, Grover and Hugh; daughter-in-law, Laura Daugherty.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Funeral service will be Friday, December 28, at 1 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Bobby Wheeler will officiate. Burial will follow at Chatham Cemetery, Chatham.
