Gunman holds up beverage store
LORAIN — A man armed with what looked like a police-issue handgun made off Monday afternoon with $417, a drive-through beverage store clerk told police.
A thin black man wearing a black ski mask, jeans and a Carhartt coat waved a semi-automatic gun at clerks about 1:30 p.m. at Rashke Drive Thru Beverage, 2133 E. 28th St., according to a Lorain police report.
The man told an employee not to say anything or he would shoot her, the report said. He reached into the cash drawer then ran behind a nearby Dairy Mart out of sight.
