Bar fight leads to assault charge
ELYRIA — A Brook Park man was charged with assault Tuesday after a fight at Pudge‘s Place on Broad Street left an Elyria man bloodied and semi-conscious, a police report said.
Nicholas W. Fuller, 25, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. after the incident, which began inside the bar and continued outside.
The injured man, Dustin Sidley, 24, of Elyria, was treated after the incident, according to the police report.
Police respond to New Year’s shots
ELYRIA — Police investigated several reports of gunshots shortly after midnight, including an incident in the 1600 block of West Avenue where 27 spent shell casings were found.
No one was arrested, but a man stopped in a car nearby was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to reports.
Play fight becomes a full-fledged battle
ELYRIA — Police responded to an assault complaint in the 500 block of Clark Street on Tuesday morning.
A woman told police two men who knew each other began to “horseplay” with each other at 3:35 a.m., and it got out of hand and both men began striking each other harder in the face and head area.
A report was prepared, but no one was charged because of conflicting accounts, the police report stated.
