The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Pauline Ruth Woods Clifton Bond, 65, of Mansfield, and formerly of Elyria, passed away after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital.
Pauline was born August 22, 1942 in Webster Springs, W.Va., to James Alfred and Delsie Bertha Ware Woods.
She enjoyed attending bluegrass festivals, camping and gardening.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Richard Bond; two daughters. Anita Clifton (Terry) Williams of London, Ohio and Lisa Clifton (Jeff) Gray of Lagrange; two grandchildren, Shaun Williams and Adam Williams; one great-grandchild, Lucas Williams; one niece, Kimberly Harrison Brown; and one nephew, Jeffrey Harrison.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rachel Lynne Gray; and sister, Zelma Woods Harrison.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, at First United Methodist Church, 312 Third Street, Elyria, with Pastor Dalton Love officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in care of The Kidney Foundation.
