A. Margaret “Peg” Bearsley

Peg Bearsley, 71, of Carlisle Twp., died Monday, December 31, 2007 at Eliza Jennings Home in Cleveland. She was born, March 13, 1936 in Birkenhead, England, and had been a resident of Carlisle Twp. for the past 30 years.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband Philip (deceased 2001). They were happily married for 46 years.

She was Owner/Operator of Treetops Kennel in Carlisle Township.

Peg lived a very unique and interesting life, including her early years as a child and teenager during and after WWII in England; her marriage and emigration to Canada and the U.S. with her husband Phil; her singing/performing career in Northeastern Ohio and her entrepreneurial ventures.

We remember a robust, vibrant Peg who took chances rather than to play it safe; a strong personality who cared deeply about causes, people, nature and the environment.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Boonstra of South Africa; brother, James Platt of Madison; cousin, Sheila Scott (nee Harold); several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 P.M. until a 7 P.M. Memorial Service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Paster Rick Stein, pastor of First United Presbyerian Church will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
