The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Agnes C. Allegretto (nee Myslinski), 88, of Amherst, died at Community Health Partners, Lorain, on Monday, January 7, 2008, after a 10-month illness.
Mrs. Allegretto was born in Johnsonburg, Pa., November 16, 1919. She attended schools and worked in Johnsonburg.
During World War II she was employed an an assembler at Stackpole Inc. in Johnsonburg. After her marriage to Milton S. Allegretto in June 1948, she relocated to Buffalo, N.Y., and in 1958 moved to Amherst.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst. She enjoyed volunteering, first at St. Joseph School, Amherst, and from 1976 until 2007 at Lorain Community Health Partners.
Mrs. Allegretto was active in St. Joseph Church Ladies Guild, Senior Citizens of Amherst, and the Women’s Democratic Party.
Survivors include sons, Philip (Vanessa) Allegretto and Gary (Laura) Allegretto, both of Amherst; daughters, Lois (Don) Allegretto Reaser of Avon Lake, Paula Allegretto of Walton, Kentucky, Lynn Louise Allegretto of Vermilion; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton S. (1989); an infant son, Milton (1950); her parents, Ludwig and Victoria Belecka Myslinski; brothers, Joseph, George, Stanley, John and Louis Myslinski; and sisters, Julia Myslinski, Elizabeth Pavlok, Pauline Delgado, Mary Baum, Helen Carroll and Florence Hamlet.
The family will receive friends 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Ave., Amherst. Closing prayers will be at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2008, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst. The Rev. Lawrence N. Martello, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, OH 44001, or Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053.
