My thoughts and prayers go out to this family for intrusting in this company for the safety of there child and it is very clear that the child was not being cared for and why was the boy being left unwatched, where was the teacher…….. This company has a record of working staff short of state guidelines of ratio per child and teacher staffing ……….. not to mention all there bumb checks they bounce on the staff for there work

How could anyone be so thoughtless and put a child by a hot crockpot. A burn is the most painful thing one can go through. How would the worker like to be burnt like that or what would they think or feel if someone would have been so careless with their child. People need to slow down and live life a little slower and with more thought. Just maybe less accidents would take palce.
My heart goes out to the child and parents for the pain they are going through.

My wife and I are saddened by what has occured yet we still take our child to Kiddie Kollege. Our child has been with Kiddie Kollege since the day they have opened in Amherst and we absolutely love it. The staff are loving and caring individuals which reassures me that this incident was a freak accident and I know the staff are very saddened by this also. The staff prove that they love every child there including my own by the caring and nurturing way I see the staff treat the children.
Any parent who is debating bringing their child to Kiddie Kollege due to this incident is missing out on a wonderful loving daycare and preschool center. No other childcare center that my child has attended has been better than Kiddie Kollege.

My wife and I were shocked to hear what happened to the little boy. However, it will not change how we feel about the care we get from Kiddie Kollege. All three of our children attend Kiddie Kollege. It was a freak accident, and since when do we believe everything we read. I am sure the articles about the incident are not completley accurate. If a freak accident happened at home should people look at us as bad parents? I am cofident that the company has done what it needed to do to keep all the children safe while in their care, and have taken appropriate action with the employee. Any parent who is thinking about there choice to keep there chldren at Kiddie Kollege should ask questions get the answers they need before judging an intire company on one accident.

My granddaughter attends Kiddie Kollege in Amherst. My first grandchild. You can understand that I was very picky where she went. I trust the staff there or she wouldn’t be there. My husband and I pick our granddaught up everyday and see how the staff care for her and the other children. They care for them as if they were their own. The news team and reporters make the incident sound like neglegence….I say wait for the facts. We have been told it was a freak accident…I’m sure the staff is going over and over how this could have been prevented…What if this had happend at home?? A hot curling iron, cup of coffee, or something heavy on an end table….you have two children both in the same room with you, you turn your head for several seconds or a minute to answer a question to your spouse and….there it happens. Are we as parents neglegent??? NO, just a freak accident.. The daycare has certain guidelines to follow by the state. I’m sure if the crockpot wasn’t suppose to be there the state would have taken care of the matter. My prayers go to the little one for healing and to the parents to keep them strong. Also to those at the daycare so that this will be cleared up. As for my granddaughter, she will continue to go to Kiddie Kollege.
