The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Earl H. Limpert, 94, of Avon, died Monday, January 14, 2008, at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon. He was born March 23, 1913 in North Olmsted, and had lived in Avon for over 60 years, moving from North Olmsted.
He was retired from Lorain Telephone Co., where he worked as a field engineer. He served in the Army during WW II. He enjoyed horses and farming.
He is survived by his son, Earl F. Limpert of Avon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delphine (nee Linden); brothers, Raymond and Elwin; and sisters, Hazel and Ethel.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 2420 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon. Please meet at the cemetery.
