The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Marjorie E. Kazmierczak, 93, of West Salem, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Hospice at the Inn in Medina. She was born June 3, 1914 in Pleasant Home, the daughter of William and Odella (Keefer) McVicker.
Marjorie was a homemaker all her life and also a hairdresser in Spencer and Grafton. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, West Salem Senior Citizens and a past member of the Rebekah Lodge of West Salem. She was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening, playing rummy and basketball, especially the Cavaliers.
She is survived by two sons, Paul (Debbie) Kazmierczak of Medina and Patrick (JoAnn) Kazmierczak of West Salem; six grandchildren, Lisa Ogden, Jennifer and Matthew Kazmierczak, Nick, Steve and Mitch Luedy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Kazmierczak in 1956; two sisters and four brothers.
There will be a private memorial service at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to Kitten Krazy, 2346 Fawn Haven Dr., Medina, OH 44256 or Hospice of Medina Co., 797 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256.
