Barrier erected where 5 were killed

SPARTA, Ky. — Road crews put up concrete barriers Friday at a sharp curve along a northern Kentucky road where a family of five died after running off the road into a creek.
Glenn Allen Johnson Jr., Kendra Nicole Johnson and their three children were found dead in their car on Jan. 17 after the vehicle was pulled from the water. They had been missing for more than two weeks.
The family lived in Hamilton, Ohio, but were preparing to move to Kentucky. Police believe they were headed there to visit relatives.
Kentucky Transportation Department spokeswoman Nancy Wood said workers put up concrete barriers along Kentucky 467 in the area. She said the barriers would be anchored to the roadway.
