The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Uriah J. Fridley, 28, of Lorain, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Lorain Community Hospital. He was born June 4, 1979 in Parma, raised in Sheffield Lake and had resided in Lorain for the past eight years.
He graduated from Brookside High School and attended Lorain County JVS in 1998. He enjoyed Heroscape and being outside.
Mr. Fridley is survived by his wife of eight years, Roberta (nee Mason); sons, Iziah and Trenton Fridley of Lorain; parents, Barbara Fridley-Hartman and Terry Hartman of Sheffield Lake; brothers, Terry and Christopher Fridley, both of Sheffield Lake; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Sandra Mason of Elyria; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may gather Friday, March 7, 2008 from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St., Elyria. A Funeral service will be Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11 A.M., with an hour visitation prior to service. Rev. Steve Haddix, pastor of the River of Life Ministries, Elyria, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Uriah Fridley Memorial Fund at First Federal Savings of Lorain, 3721 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. www.buschfuneral.com
