Gary R. Ball, 69, of Wadsworth, died Saturday, March 8, 2008. He was born June 29, 1938, in Genoa, W.Va., to the late Walter and Adeline Ball.

Mr. Ball was a veteran of the Marine Corps, was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1089, American Legion Post 170 and Wadsworth Eagles Aerie 2117.

He is survived by his children, Edward F. Hronetz (friend Jane) of Wadsworth, Sherry (Joseph) Scarbrough of Elyria, Veronica (Jon) Denny of Grafton, Carolyn Curtis of Strongsville, Jeff (Christine) Ball and Becky (Bill) Alexander, all of Wadsworth; 20 grandchildren; sister, Lois Bennett of Florida; brothers, Clifton Ball and David Ball of Florida, and Larry Ball of Tennessee.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; daughter, Deborah Lindeman; and brother, Charles Ball.

The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Pastor Richard J. Colelli will officiate.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be presented by the Wadsworth Honor Guard.
