The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Judith Ann Ebbitt-Glover

Judith Ann Ebbitt-Glover, 66. of North Olmsted, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in her home after a one year illness. She was born Saturday, April 5, 1941 in Steubenville, moving to Lorain in 1978 until 1995, then moving to North Olmsted.

She was a member of Westlake United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Glover was involved in the field of nursing in many aspects for 35 years. She graduated from Riverside White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus in 1963 and received her B.A. from Heidelberg College in 1968, and was a Pediatric Nurse Practioner from Cleveland Metro in 1981. She also worked at the Lorain County Health Department for many years in many different capacities. She had a lifetime involvement in girls scouts, and many church activities. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and was an avid gardener. She was a volunteer at Play House Square in Cleveland, Botanical Gardens and Cleveland Metro Parks.

She is survived by by one daughter, Karen Ebbitt-Parker of Columbus; son, Stephen Ebbitt of Cleveland Heights; three grandchildren with another on the way; brother, Roger Menear of Fairlawn; sister, Cindy Myers of Lakewood, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Ebbitt; second beloved husband, Bob Glover; parents, Bob and Virginia Menear; and brother, Richard.

Private family services will be held in Union Cemetery in Steubenville, Monday, March 24, 2008. A celebration of her life will be held this spring.  Arrangements were handled by Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
