More snow is on the way today …

ELYRIA — If you were basking in the sun Thursday and thinking about planting grass or cleaning the flower beds this weekend, well … think again.

The National Weather Service is calling for yet another blast of winter to hit Lorain County beginning today with predictions that as much as 5 inches of snow will fall to replace the piles that finally melted — or at least started to — from the bombardment we suffered two weekends ago.

The storm watch will start midafternoon in the western part of the state. Toledo and surrounding areas could get
5 to 7 inches of snow by Saturday morning.

For us, the worst should be over by 3 a.m. Saturday, but flurries could sweep the county again by noon, forecasters said,

Snowfall is predicted to be on-again, off-again through Monday night with temperatures just above freezing, according to the National Weather Service.
