The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Lillian K. Napierala (nee Mazurkieuricz), 92, of Lorain, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Hearthstone, in Lorain. She was born November 26, 1915 in Raceland, Louisiana, and was a Lorain resident for most of her life.
Mrs. Napierala was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain.
Survivors include her step-daughters, Diana Moskaluk and Marlene Szarpa, both of Buffalo, New York; step-son, Henry Napierala, of Arkansas; nephews, Carl Filipiak, of Carolina Beach, North Carolina, and Joe Filipiak, of Grafton.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Gallon, second husband, Henry Napierala; parents, Stanislaw and Maria (nee Romanski) Mazurkieuricz; sisters, Helen Drukenmiller, Josephine Burton, and Florence Filipiak; and a brother, Carl Mazur.
Friends may call Monday, March 31, 2008 4 to 7 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at State Rt. 57, Elyria. Services will be Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home, followed by a 11:30 A.M. Mass at Nativity Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave., Lorain.
The Rev. John Klin, Pastor emeritus of St. Mary Church in Lorain, and the Rev. Mr. Robert Dybo will be the co-celabrants. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
