The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Timothy J. Stockard, 33, of Avon, died Friday, March 28,2008 at Lutheran Hospital, Cleveland.
He was born October 1, 1974 in Lorain. He was a graduate of Avon High School and a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon.He is survived by his parents; Jacob and Loretta (nee Burkart); brother, James; sisters, Mary (Robert) Zuercher, Susan (Curtis) Caviness, and Katy (David) Wood, uncle of Ellen, Grace, Kayla, Connor and Leo. He is also survived by his family at St. Augustine Manor, Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric; maternal grandparents, Robert and Anna Burkart; paternal grandparents, Leo and Anna Stockard.
Family will receive friends, Sunday, March 30, 2008 4 to 8 P.M., at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd, Avon, where closing prayers will be Monday, March 31, 2008 9:15 A.M., followed by a 10 A.M. mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon. Interment is at St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
