Incident didn’t happen at St. Vincent de Paul
A story on Sunday’s front page about a Wakeman police officer being charged with assault after confronting his estranged wife’s roommate had the wrong location for the confrontation.
The incident actually happened at Vincent Elementary School, which is on North Ridge Road – just as St. Vincent de Paul is — but about a half mile to the east. Vincent Elementary is a public school in the Clearview school district.
The confusion arose because the address provided on the police report was that of St. Vincent de Paul.
