Bengal turned teacher suspended from classroom
MOUNT HEALTHY, Ohio (AP) — A Cincinnati-area high school teacher and coach who once played for the Bengals has been suspended by school officials who say he made inappropriate comments to female students.
Mount Healthy City Schools Superintendent David Horine says Keith Rucker did not proposition a student, but he wouldn’t describe the nature of the comments. He says Rucker will be out of the school for the rest of the year.
The 39-year-old Rucker is also the school’s track and football coach. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan in 1993 and played defensive tackle for the Bengals from 1994-96. He also played for the Washington Redskins and the then-named Phoenix Cardinals.
Rucker’s attorney, Hal Arenstein, says the allegations are inaccurate and his client is cooperating with the school district’s investigation.
