Ruth Buswell (nee Bowers), 79, of LaGrange, died May 26, 2008, at her home. She was born September 27, 1928, in Elyria.

She graduated from Elyria High School in 1947 and also attended Lorain County Community College.

She was a cashier at Pick-N-Pay grocery stores in Lorain, North Ridgeville and Cleveland.

She was a member of LaGrange United Methodist Church and was the first female member of LaGrange Lions Club. She was involved with Project Joy, where she performed as a clown and also enjoyed gardening and swimming.

Ruth is survived by daughters, Jennifer McCoy of LaGrange, Chrissa Dellinger of Grafton and Kathleen Toth of Vermilion; sons, Fred Buswell of LaGrange and Keith Buswell of Elyria; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Glen H. Buswell, in 2007; a daughter, Kathleen Bricker; and nine sisters and brothers.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at LaGrange United Methodist Church, 105 W. Main St., LaGrange. The Rev. Ralph Krall will officiate. Burial will be at River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township.
