Stacey Burgess and Stephen Gatten

Stacey and Stephen Gatten were united in marriage March 1, 2008, at St. Joseph Church in Amherst. Father James Schmitz performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Maureen Burgess of Grafton and Douglas and Sharon Burgess of South Amherst. The bridegroom is the son of Gerald and Barbara Gatten of Amherst.

Terri Brewer attended as maid of honor, Jennifer Burgess, Heather Knoble, Nicole Carlson, Melani Baker, Becca Uhl, Jennifer Miller and Katie Burgess were bridesmaids, Rachel Gatten, niece of the groom participated as flowergirl. Matthew Gatten and Devin Griffiths attended as best men, Jon Gatten, Scott Carlson, Joel Robinson, Brad Uhl and Andrew Robinson were groomsmen; and Douglas, Derek and Dylan Burgess ushered, Caleb Crawford, nephew of the bride was ring bearer.

A reception was held at Rosewood Place, Lorain. The couple took a wedding trip to London, England.

Stacey is a 1998 Midview High School graduate. She earned both Bachelors and Masters degree from Bowling Green State University in 2002 and 2006. She is currently a teacher and coach for the Elyria City School District.

Stephen is a 1998 Amherst Marion L. Steele High School graduate. He is employed as a mail carrier at the Lorain United States Post Office.
