ELYRIA – A sexual predator living in Elyria has been arrested in connection with two cases in which young girls were offered $20 to pull down their pants.

Kelly D. Snodgrass, of 30 Queens Court, has been charged with two felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a juvenile, police said today.

He is charged with approaching a 9-year-old girl in Eastern Heights near Denison Avenue and Sherman Street and a 9-year-old girl at Wal-Mart. Both incidents happened May 28.

Police showed photos from the store’s security cameras to parole authorities, who thought they recognized Snodgrass, Eichenlaub said.

Detectives watched Snodgrass and linked his work vehicle to the incident in Eastern Heights, Eichenlaub said.  When questioned, Snodgrass “made some admissions,” Eichenlaub said. He declined to elaborate.

Snodgrass served nearly 12 years in prison in connection with the kidnapping and rape of a female in Wayne County. Authorities in Wayne County were unable to confirm the age of the victim.
