Alert: Tree topples onto Prospect Street; power out

A little after 1 p.m. today, an oak tree snapped off about 15 from the ground and toppled onto Prospect Street, right by Denison Avenue, taking the power lines with it.
On a sweltering day, residents probably aren’t happy to be without air conditioning. Nor will the kids be happy that they were forced to abandon their plans for cooling off in the East Park Recreation Center pool, which closed because of the lack of the power.
