Louise C. Gildan (nee Klingler), 92, of Elyria, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Oakridge Home in Westlake. She was born July 22, 1915 in Trumbull and graduated from Ashtabula High School
She moved to Elyria in 1960 where she lived until moving to Pine Island, Florida and Port Charlotte, Florida, returning to Elyria in 2005.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elyria. Other interests included oil painting, reading, crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen L. Gildan of Elyria and Beth Henry of New Middletown, Ohio; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie McKinnon of Ashtabula.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Mervin I. Gildan in 2006; sister, Mary Townsend; and brother, Kenneth Klingler.
Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2008 at Noon until the time of a 1 P.M. funeral service at First Baptist Church of Elyria, 11400 LaGrange Road, Elyria. The Rev. Bradley W. Quick will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Dicken Funeral Home, Elyria, is in charge of arrangements.
