Andrew Mason and Kristina Schmitz

Paul and Diana Schmitz of Vermilion are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Kristina Michelle Schmitz to Andrew David Mason, son of Debbie Hooper of Tionetsa, Pennsylvania and Virgil Mills of Elyria.

Kristina is a 1992 Firelands High School honors graduate, where she was co-captain of the cheerleading squad. She attended Wright State University, and is currently on the Dean’s list at Cuyahoga Community College’s School of Nursing, where she will graduate in August 2008.

Andrew is a 1992 Firelands High School graduate, where he participated on the wrestling team. He was a professional wrestler and a semi-pro football player. He was enlisted with the United States Marine Corp.

The couple plan a September wedding at Midway Baptist Church in Elyria, with a reception following at the Fraternal Order of Police Hall in Eaton Twp. Kristina and Andrew will enjoy a honeymoon cruise.
