COLUMBUS , Ohio (AP) — Ohio State University President Gordon Gee has gone to the Philadelphia area to be with his daughter and son-in-law, who were injured in a crash Saturday night.

Authorities say the two were riding a Vespa motor scooter that collided with a sport utility vehicle at an intersection in suburban Bryn Mawr , Pa.

Thirty-two-year-old Dr. Rebekah Gee sustained a broken leg and other injuries and was hospitalized in fair condition.

The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania had her husband, 31-year-old Dr. Allan Moore, listed in critical condition with abdominal and head injuries.

Rebekah Gee is Gordon Gee’s only child. An Ohio State spokesman says she and her husband are the two loves of the president’s life and he’s hopeful both will make a full recovery.
