Jerry and Barbara Rombach

Jerry and Barbara Rombach of Elyria celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary Saturday, July 12, 2008.

They were married on July 12, 1958 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Carbondale, Illinois.

Barbara was a homemaker for the first 18 years of marriage and then worked 27 years for the Elyria Center for Orthopedics as a Secretary until retiring in 2003.

Jerry was Sports Editor of The Chronicle Telegram for 36 years until retiring in 2001. He still works part time as a Sports Writer reporting  high school and youth sports events.

Barbara and Jerry have four children, Lorie of Elyria, Jay of Miramar, Florida, Dana Hoffman of North Ridgeville and April of Elyria. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The couple plans a Hawaiian trip in December to celebrate their anniversary.
