Cavaliers pick up point guard Mo Williams in three-team trade
Cleveland has acquired Milwaukee Bucks point guard Mo Williams in a six-player, three-team trade to be completed Wednesday, the Akron Beacon Journal reported on its Web site citing an unnamed NBA executive.
The Cavaliers declined comment on the report.
The newspaper says the Cavaliers will send guard Damon Jones to the Bucks and forward Joe Smith to
Williams scored 17.2 points per game with the Bucks last season and averaged 6.3 assists in 66 games. He shot 48 percent from the field and 86 percent from the free-throw line.
