The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Fred J. "Fritz" Limpert, 84, of Olmsted Twp., passed away Tuesday August 5, 2008.
Fred was a U.S. Navy veteran. Member of Lakewood Elks Club Lodge 1350, Elyria V.F.W. Post 1079, Elyria Moose Club Lodge 778 and a National Member of the American Legion. He was also a member of Huff ‘N Puffers Softball League in Parma.
Survivors are daughters, Gayle Tomson (Ron) of Brunswick Hills, Phyllis Limpert of Olmsted Township; son, Fred A. Limpert of Olmsted Township; cherished grandfather of John Hottell, Jr. (Sheryl), Julie Wilks (Jim), James Limpert and Megan Limpert; great-grandfather of Jacob, Jessica, Trevor and Mallory; sister of Gloria Limpert of Olmsted Township.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Opal Westerfeld; and brothers, Delbert, and William Limpert.
Memorial service will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10 A.M. in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions to Hospice Services of Southwest General Health, 18659 Drake Rd., Strongsville, 44136.
