The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Susan Lee Thompson departed this life for the next in the comfort of her family Tuesday, August 12, 2008, due to complications of cancer.
Susan is survived by her husband and soul mate, Cullin Thompson: sons, Jason C., Isaac K. and Luke C. (Kate) Thompson; mother, Mary Lee Goins; brothers, Charles R. (Diane) Goins Jr., and Thomas C. McGuire; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in passing by her father, Charles R. Goins, Sr.
There will be no visitation. Her body was donated to Case Western Reserve School of Anatomy.
She will be remembered by all for her dedication to true spirituality. "To be absent from the body is to be present with God."
Donations may be made in memory of Susan Lee Thompson to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
