Helen and James Scott

James and Helen (nee Wolf) Scott of Elyria celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary July 1, 2008! The couple were married by Rev. Hubert Wolf, July 1, 1948 at St. Agnes Church in Elyria.

Mr. Scott retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He is a member of the American Legion Post 12, VFW Post 1079, and attends St. Agnes Church. He served as an aviator in the Navy from 1940 to 1946. He enjoys gardening.

Mrs. Scott is retired. She enjoys sewing and crafts.

In celebration of their anniversary, a dinner was held with family members at VFW Post 7576 in Vermilion, June 28, 2008.

The couple have eight children, Judith of Vermilion, Mary of Colorado, Jennifer of Grafton, Regina of Minnesota, Rebecca, James and John of Elyria, and Joseph of New York. They have 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
