Neal O’Connor and Heather Volk

David and Karen Volk of Elyria are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Elayne Volk to Neal Dean O’Connor, son of Neil and Patricia O’Connor of River Forest, Illinois.

Dr. Volk is currently a post-doctoral fellow in Statistical Genetics at the University of Southern California. She has a Doctorate in Epidemiology from St. Louis University, Master in Public Health from Boston University, Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame, graduate of Elyria Catholic High School, Elyria.

Neal practiced law as a Trial Attorney in Chicago before starting his own Real Estate Development and Consulting Company, Root Development, LLC, in Los Angeles, California. He has a Master in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California, Juris Doctor from Northwestern School of Law, Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame, graduate of Oak Park River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois.

The couple will wed April 18, 2009 at The Cree Estate, Cathedral City, California. Neil O’Connor, Sr. will perform the ceremony.
