LAS VEGAS — O.J. Simpson, who went from American sports idol to celebrity-in-exile after he was acquitted of murder in 1995, was found guilty Friday of robbing two sports-memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room.
Simpson, 61, could go to prison for life.
A weary and somber Simpson released a heavy sigh as the charges were read by the clerk in Clark County District Court. He was immediately taken into custody.

The Hall of Fame football star was convicted of kidnapping, armed robbery and 12 other charges for gathering up five men a year ago and storming into a room at a hotel-casino, where the group seized several game balls, plaques and photos. Prosecutors said two of the men with him were armed; one of them said Simpson asked him to bring a gun.
Simpson’s co-defendant, Clarence “C.J.” Stewart, 54, was also convicted on all charges.
The verdict came 13 years to the day after Simpson was cleared of murdering his ex-wife and a friend of hers in Los Angeles in one of the most sensational trials of the 20th century.

Just in case you didn’t know it…he didn’t do it himself, he had help…they testified against him and will serve prison time as well.
Now if you think for one minute that a certain group of people would go to that length to lock that animal up, then you are just plain retarded…get over your “ancestory”!
WE all know he got away with murder and personally I think HE thought he wouldn’t be caught or charged, in his last caper even if he was…that’s how stupid he is.

Mylria, to bad the Chronicle doesn’t have the report abuse option on their blogs because your comment was racist and uncalled for. Referring to black people as savages in this day and age shows your lack of education in turn growth for a country who has fault and die (white and black) to stop racism.
Futhermore, you think the jury deserves consequences for their decision in setting him free makes me think you either never saw the day-to-day trial or you would of sentence him regardless of the testimony because you are racist. Considering you “savage” remark I believe the latter is more likely.
I watched that trial, everyday, and if he was guilty the prosecutor did a poor job proving it (the gloves didn’t fit) and I don’t know why the police went to such great length to manipulate by tampering with evidence to prove he did it. They should of done everything to ensure that the investigation was done by the book because that evidence alone would have convicted him.
Again, I watched that trial every day and the mistakes the state made defending Nicole and Ron was a disgrace to their traggic death.
For those of you who feel they should punish him now in a manner that will reflect the murder trial, I believe have lost all respect for people’s rights, period. The sad thing is, they want to make-up for those past mistakes, and this trial has already left many reasons for an appea to be grantedl which means he will probably get out early.

Unfortunately Lovinglife4me, that trial is over and he was found not guilty. If we allow our system to sentence someone for something they did prior just because they screwed up, we are condoning a corrupted system. Sorry, but that I can’t do. Plus, that (corrupted) system allowed him to go free last time.
No way am I saying that I don’t respect the victims, but I am saying that I don’t condone a system that is corrupted and one that would go to any measure to put someone in jail.

One of O.J.’s ex-buddies is on the book tour, claiming he told O.J. to stop taking his arthritis medicine so that his hands would swell.
But that doesn’t matter.
Even the most lame of actors could make it look like they weren’t able to put on a pair of gloves or a pair of slip on shoes, that were a perfect fit.
The thing I noticed that I never heard ANYBODY bring up, was the grief and horror that should have been on his face, while placing his hands in the bloody gloves that were worn by the person who nearly cut his ex-wife’s head off.
Not only did he show no shock or repulsion when handling the gloves soaked in the blood of two murder victims, he was smiling and laughing.
That is pretty far from what I would consider the normal reaction of an innocent man…

A while ago, Boomer sent me some photos of Lorain/Elyria, so I set up a web page to post any photos people here might want to share with others.
That died a pretty quick death, but it still there.
I just uploaded a photo taken of the wife and I, outside of O.J.’s house when the piece of *blank* was acquitted the first time. I was hoping to get within spitting distance or at least call him some pretty vile names, but he was a no show for the time we were there. I was on every local news program that night, flailing my arms around and yelling, after a misunderstanding with an idiot cop.

Let’s look at the comment Repo-man, In one sentence the comment made note that white people should have rioted when the “black” jury acquitted him….and ended with “we’re just not savage like that (that implying them). Not sure how or why you couldn’t connect the two but to refer to African American as a beast, and not the first time used in history, is racist.
With that being said, Dan S I’m sure you can now make the connection, but just in case you can’t. No one has to mention race for it to be a racist act or comment. For the sentence to contain the words “white people” and goes on to mention”black jury” and “savage” implies that they (African Americans) are, therefore, it is racist. And, just because I commented about it doesn’t make me racist. If it did all those who stand up to racism are racist themselves.

O.J. could have had a drunk public defender, who slept through half of the trial, could have put on the gloves and said “They feel a little tighter than when I killed those white *blanks*”, and that jury would have not found him guilty.
There are some blacks, and that jury was packed with ‘em, who will never convict another black person of a crime against a white person.
One timid white juror said she thought he was guilty in deliberation, and she was shouted down in a threatening manner and went along with the angry mob, so that prevented a hung jury.
Now I know it would be un-PC to suggest that these type of people are sub-human, but in my book, they’re steaming piles of *blank*!

I heard the other day on the Dr. Phil show an attorney apologize to the parents of Ron Goldman for instructing O.J.to not take his arthritis medicine so his hands would swell up and the “glove ” wouldn’t fit. If that’s the case, Amen to the life sentence!!!! It’s way over due.

When I talk to and about my pets I call them by their name.
If I only had one pet, I might be inclined to call it, “The” cat, “The” dog, fish, what ever, but not “My” cat, because that would imply ownership and my cats are very sensitive about that sort of Alpha Dog behavior.
Since I have one wife, there’s little confusion when I call her “The” wife. I’m also not implying ownership.
