Winslow 50-50 for Monday’s game

BEREA – Browns Pro Bowl tight end Kellen Winslow spent Thursday night in the hospital with an undisclosed illness, and coach Romeo Crennel said there’s a 50-50 he’ll play Monday night against the Giants.

Winslow didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday after feeling fine earlier in the week. Crennel said he anticipated Winslow being released from the Cleveland Clinic this afternoon.

If Winslow can’t play, backup Steve Heiden and third-stringer Darnell Dinkins would move up the depth chart. Crennel said rookie Martin Rucker, who recently returned to practice following knee surgery, isn’t ready to play.

The Browns are 1-3 and face the 4-0 Giants on “Monday Night Football.”
