RECORDS: Ohio State is 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten, while the Boilermakers are 2-3, 0-1. The Buckeyes scored late to pull out a 20-17 win at Wisconsin last week. Purdue lost 20-6 at home to Penn State.
COACHES: Jim Tressel is 78-17 in his eighth season at Ohio State and 213-74-2 in his 23rd year as a head coach. Joe Tiller is 85-57 in his 12th season at Purdue and overall.
SERIES: This is the 51st meeting between the two teams, with the Buckeyes holding a 36-12-2 advantage. OSU is 24-5-2 in games played in Columbus.
THE SKINNY: Chris “Beanie” Wells needs 7 yards to move into 10th place on OSU’s
all-time rushing list, while wide receiver Brian Robiskie needs just two catches to move into 10th place on the all-time receptions list. … Wells ran for a season-high 168 yards and a TD in last week’s win over the Badgers. … With 10 tackles last week, linebacker James Laurinaitis became just the 14th Buckeye to reach 300 for his career. … The Buckeyes lead the Big Ten is pass defense and punt-return average. … Purdue hasn’t won in Columbus since 1988. … Running back Kory Sheets, Purdue’s all-time leading touchdown scorer, has had a TD in eight straight games … Boilermakers quarterback Curtis Painter needs just 13 yards passing to become the fourth player in Big Ten history to throw for more than 10,000 career yards.

RECORDS: Baldwin-Wallace is 2-2, 2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference after getting pounded 48-3 last week against Mount Union. Otterbein is 4-0 and 3-0, having won 52-14 at  Heidelberg last week.
COACHES: John Snell is 43-23 in his seventh year at B-W and overall. Joe Loth is 24-25 in his sixth year at Otterbein and 34-49 overall.
SERIES: Baldwin-Wallace leads 33-5-1, including the last two games, in a series that dates back to 1925. The Jackets won 37-27 last year in Berea.
THE SKINNY: The Jackets average 411.3 yards of offense a game, including 129.8 rushing and 281.5 passing. That’s the good. 28-15 against Ohio Wesleyan. Chicago is 0-3 and coming off a bye.
COACHES: Jeff Ramsey is 25-69 in his 10th season at Oberlin. Dick Maloney is 69-62 in his 15th season coaching the Maroons.
SERIES: Oberlin has a 6-4-1 edge in the all-time series. The last time the teams met was 1995 and Chicago won easily, 47-0. The first meeting came in 1893, which was a 33-12 Oberlin win.
