Provenza was found guilty of the DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to control and no seat belt. He could get up to a year in jail when he is sentenced Dec. 1. He will also lose his driver’s license for at least a year.
Provenza was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 20 when police pulled his wife’s minivan over after receiving a call that a vehicle matching that description had rammed the front porch of a Lakewood home and fled the scene.
Provenza, who was alone in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries when his head hit the minivan’s windshield, according to police. He was treated and released from a nearby hospital before being taken to jail.
Despite this latest arrest on DUI charges – he has two previous DUI convictions and one DUI charge that was plea bargained down to a reckless operation – Provenza has continued to work.
He declined comment after the hearing, but said he would have a statement after he is sentenced later this year.

With this guy’s track record and current charges, he is only facing 1 year in jail and 1 year suspended license???
We need some SERIOUS changes in our judicial system!

He was found guilty, so when is The City Of Lorain going to show some backbone and can this guy.
Are they going to believe him when he says he is going to get help and won’t touch the sauce again.
How many times have they heard that already?
One good way to see that he drys up at least for a year is to give him the maximum sentence of 1 year, which is a joke in its self given his prior convictions.
But at least he will not be on the road for that year because sooner or later he is going to kill someone.

You are probaly right but it is my hope that the judge has some b**s and puts him away for a year, then he will not be able to drive at all unless it is a tractor cutting the grass behind the barbed wire fences of the Grafton drunk prison.

He’s got a disease, it’s called alcoholism. HE needs to decide to get help, other than that, it won’t work. He may fall even further and lose his career before it’s dealt with. Many people would have lost their jobs already.

the Mayor already commented, the Law Director’s position is an elected position, thus the Mayor can’t fire him.

They will give this Butthead the same thing they gave the County Engineer… A warning. Remember the Engineer that had 3 DUI’s they gave him, *County” A chaufeur.. And how the engineer kept his job, I don’t know.. I never voted for him. That’s it what will happen to Provenza.. A slap on the wrist.. “No No.. Don’t do that again…”

And if Im correct his term is up for and nobody is running against him.(County Engineer)
I wonder what the record is for any given county in the U.S. that has a County Engineer and a Law Director that has at least 3 DUI’S and still are in office? Maybe we can even through in a Concilman charged with solicitation and a Mayor that might be recalled. (I hope).

I don’t claim to know everything and why I am even responding to a troll like you.
I do know this you were exposed for what you really are, someone who would claim that he served in the military and did not. All the brave men and women who really did serve, and some died while serving, you have done a great injustice.
I don’t know why you would do this but It puts you right on the bottom of the cesspool along with all the rest of the sh*t.
